Monster I'd Like to Fight: Rock Biter

Nomadic druid circles and those in search of a new home often employ elemental allies to facilitate their transient lifestyle. Among these elemental companions is the rock biter, a derivative of earth elementals. Highly skilled in clearing rocky terrains or dismantling old structures, the rock biter transforms these materials into minerals that enrich the soil on its back, fostering plant growth. A well-nourished rock biter can sustain multiple traveling companions, even in harsh winter conditions. When a suitable home is discovered, the rock biter can be returned to the earth, leaving behind a patch of mineral-rich soil for continued food cultivation.

In more aggressive druid circles with a mission to restore the environment to its natural state, rock biters play a crucial role. These circles summon throngs of rock biters to level towers and keeps to their foundations. The consumption of leftover materials provides sustenance for a small army, enabling these druid circles to sustain their offensive efforts.

Occasionally, a solitary rock biter can be encountered, separated from the druids that summoned it. In it’s natural state, a rock biter searches for large deposits of stones to sustain itself, often choosing mountainsides and old mines. Their backs tend to be overgrown with weeds or native plants.
