The true origin of the blink dog’s paw is unknown. Some believe evil enchanters hunted down blink dogs under a full moon to take their paws and infuse their magic into amulets. Others are convinced they are the remains of revered blink dogs that wished to grant some of their power to worthy companions. In either case, blink dogs will seek to reclaim these amulets whenever possible, by force, if necessary. Ranger and druid orders will sometimes have stockpiles of these amulets to reward particularly courageous members of their organizations.

In addition, you can cast the misty step spell using the amulet. Once you do so, you can’t do so again until the next dawn.
