Monster I’d Like to Fight: Dream Gorger

Monster I'd Like to Fight: Dream Gorger

The tiniest of fey can be the most bothersome, and dream gorgers, standing no taller than a few inches, fit the stereotype. In contrast to the curious and mischievous sprites, dream gorgers are motivated by their appetite. Sweets, especially those crafted by skilled bakers and home cooks, are their favored indulgence. These pint-sized creatures are quite finicky, not hesitating to spit out any food that doesn’t meet their particular tastes. Despite their love for sweets, they maintain a sense of moderation, avoiding overindulgence. Once their bellies are full, a dream gorger seeks out a cozy hiding spot and indulges in a lengthy nap.

Dream gorgers are adept manipulators of the dream realm. Simply being in their presence can induce a deep slumber and bring forth pleasant dreams. Their mastery of sleep comes in handy when acquiring sweet treats, as they use it to lull the bearers into a restful sleep. Should their target awaken prematurely, dream gorgers utilize their connection to the ethereal plane to facilitate a quick escape.

While often regarded as nuisances, dream gorgers are not beyond making deals, especially when it comes to aiding those plagued by sleeplessness or recurring nightmares. Such an arrangement is always paid in delectable treats and exquisite sweets.
