Monster I'd Like to Fight: Junthanex

Junthanex are the result of an unfortunate arcane mishap by the once great and powerful enchanter, Eabrin Ishan. Eabrin had been tirelessly researching the creation of a magical adhesive capable of absorbing any enchantment and be applied to a wide range of objects. This innovative creation promised to revolutionize the enchanting process by pre-designing and storing enchantments, thereby minimizing the time-consuming aspect of meticulously crafting each one from scratch.

Despite Eabrin’s expertise as an enchanter, his limited experience in conjuration proved to be his downfall. The unexpected emergence of the junthanex took him by surprise, and his attempts to defend himself only served to fuel its strength. Frustratingly, each spell hurled at it inadvertently bolstered the creature’s power, ultimately ensnaring poor Eabrin within its clutches, sealing his fate as he was consumed by his own creation.

On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage with no additional effects.
