This magical item was created by the brilliant gnome enchanter Bartlethop Gadgetson. He was renowned for his obsession with miniaturization, a talent that set him apart from his fellow gnome artisans. His love for intricately crafted objects led him to create the arrow slit token.
Inspiration for the token came from Bartlethop’s dual fascination with castle fortifications and feather tokens. Eager to capture the essence of a parapet in a portable form, he channeled his magical prowess into developing prototypes. Bartlethop intended the arrow slit token to be a versatile tool for adventurers. As such, it should instantly create defensive positions in the open and grant a tactical advantage in battle. But, it could also be employed to block off choke points or replace shattered wall sections.
The arrow slit token appears as a small, unassuming stone slab, constructed to resemble a fortified wall. When placed on the ground, its enchantment activates. As the token is set down, it emits a soft magical hum and then vanishes from view, leaving behind only a faint shimmer where it once stood. Simultaneously, a stone wall manifests in its place. A thin arrow slit provides a narrow but clear line of sight, perfect for ranged attacks, spellcasting, or reconnaissance without exposing oneself to potential harm.
Arrow Slit Token
Wondrous Item, Rare
This tiny item looks like a miniature section of wall. As an action, you can touch it to an unoccupied space on the ground. The token disappears, and in its place a stone wall with an arrow slit appears. The wall is 6 inches thick and up to 10 feet wide and up to 10 feet tall. It has 15 AC and 180 hit points. For the next minute, ranged attacks made through the arrow slit deal an extra 1d4 force damage.
