The Vault: Amulet of Observation

Esteemed by those who walk the thin line between law and lawlessness there exists a relic known as the amulet of observation. It serves as an unblinking eye in the shadows, coveted by detectives, merchants of opulence, and clandestine guilds of thieves alike.

A prized tool of surveillance, this amulet grants its wearer the ability to peer into distant locales, unraveling veils of secrecy. Its employment by discerning investigators renders it a silent sentinel in the quest for justice, as they unravel mysteries with a gaze that penetrates barriers.

Among the elite, it finds its place as a guardian of wealth, its gaze unwaveringly fixed upon vaults brimming with riches. Within the folds of thieves’ guilds, it becomes a ever-watchful talisman, offering a surreptitious eye upon illicitly gained treasures.

Yet, in darker pursuits, the amulet of observation finds a more sinister role. A warlock, in his boundless ambition, employed its power to maintain a vigilant watch over a demon ensnared within a seal. Through its sight, the warlock held dominion over the infernal entity, ensuring its captivity remained unbroken.

Amulet of Observation

Wondrous Item, Uncommon

This amulet comes with a detachable glass eye. As an action, you can deploy the eye on a solid surface within 20 feet of you. While holding the amulet, you can look through it to see in a 10-foot-radius around the eye. If the eye is within 30 feet of you, you can cast cantrips using the eye’s location as your own.

The eye has AC 13, 5 hit points, and is immune to psychic and poison damage.

If the eye is destroyed, a new one appears with the amulet at the next dawn.
