The Vault: Bananaramarang

I don’t know what the Cruel Summoners meant to conjure, but it probably wasn’t this. As their chants rang out I crept closer, unseen. They raised their hands in unison, and then it happened: the sacrificial ram disappeared, replaced by a golden banana. They looked to each other in shock. It was now or never. In the confusion I snatched it and ran. The bananaramarang was mine.

I couldn’t wait to test it and threw it as soon as I had a chance. The bloody thing looped back and smacked me in the nose, but not before creating a puddle of slick ooze where it flew. Fortunately, the pursuing summoners didn’t notice the pool. They tumbled across the ruined floor in a jumbled mess of flailing limbs.

Now the Cruel Summoners want it back; they’ve become obsessed. Their chants chase me in my dreams, “Banana, ram… banana, ram!”. I can’t help but laugh. What are they going to do? With the bananaramarang in my hands, nobody can catch me.
