Wardrakes are often used as mounts or guardians among the draconic races. When a wardrake hatchling crawls from its egg, it imprints on the first creature it sees, becoming bonded with it. Wardrake riders bond with wardrakes as youths, and train along with their charges for years until they’re able to fight as a cohesive unit.
Collecting Eggs. Beast handlers, knights, zoologists and chefs are among the folk highly interested in acquiring wardrake eggs. A single viable egg can be sold for up to 250 gp on the open market. Given sufficient time and care, a wardrake hatchling can be raised to serve as a companion by a skilled animal handler.
Harvesting Horns. The central horn from a wardrake’s head is the primary component used in the construction of a specific magic weapon: a wardrake horn blade.
Heavy Barding. As part of a long rest, if you have proficiency with blacksmith’s tools, you can use your tools to combine a wardrake’s remains and 50 gp in additional materials to create a set of chain mail barding for a large creature.
